I recently reviewed the Maybelline dream wonder nude foundation. In this review I mentioned that I was on the hunt for a new daily and favourite foundation. In my MAC haul you could read about all the stuff I bought at MAC. One of those products was the Pro longwearing nourishing waterproof foundation.
I was looking for a foundation with a lot of coverage because the days that I want to wear foundation I want to do it right.
MAC about this foundation:
' A tenacious waterproof formula that can be used as a foundation or concealer. Wearing for an unprecedented 24 hours. Neither rain nor tears can budge this oil-free watertight product that actually repels moisture from the surface of the face. The formula blends seamlessly on the skin with medium to full weightless coverage and natural satin finish.'
In this photo I wear the foundation on my whole face. As you can see it blends in as well as it claims. At first I was a bit sceptical because all the MAC products I have used so far are in the colour NW20 but this foundation got recommended to me in NC25. I can remember from beauty school that NC stands for yellow skin tone at MAC & NW for red. I always thought I had a red under skin tone. But after trying this foundation on my whole face I was surprised how much better this foundation fits with my skin tone.
I also didn't really know what to expect from waterproof foundation because I had never heard of it. But after taking a 15 minute long and hot shower all my make up was gone from my face except the foundation. It was still on point on my face, which was really a big surprise to me!
But now on to the comparison 'swatches'. My noise is a huge problem area because of the redness, open pores and unevenness. And this foundation takes most of that away!
As you can tell most of it is covered up my the foundation. I only applied the foundation on the photo, no concealers or powder used.
I'm really happy with this foundation because it's exactly what I searched for in a foundation.
I got this foundation for 27.60 at my local Pro MAC store, click here for more information.
